August 31 - September 13

In this two-week period, the ambulance responded to 28 calls for medical assistance, to Swarthmore, Rutledge, Morton, Springfield, Nether Providence Township, and Ridley Township. The calls were for a variety of emergencies, including lacerations, cardiac emergency, respiratory emergency, dead on arrival, psychiatric emergency, and assault.

In addition, the fire company responded to: 

  • Two automatic fire alarms.

  • Two building alarms.

  • One automobile alarm for an overturned car.

  • One elevator alarm for a woman trapped in an elevator at 111 S. Chester Road, Swarthmore.

  • Three hazmat alarms.

  • Four mutual aid calls to Nether Providence Township.

Please note that EMS is still responding to locations with COVID-19-positive cases. COVID-19 is still an active threat in our area.
