2021 Resolution Run
Swarthmore Recreation Association presents its first ever “Resolution Run,” to be held on January 1, 2021. In past years, the association has held an annual New Year’s Day 5K race. This year’s Resolution Run will be different: It will be virtual, and it is not limited to 5 kilometers.
Choose your own distance, complete and log your run anytime between 12:01 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. on January 1. Log your run in reflective gear just after the ball drops at midnight, or after your morning coffee, or whenever is most convenient for you that day. Recorded runs on treadmills or gym equipment are also encouraged.
The registration fee is $21. All participants will be entered into a raffle for locally sourced prizes. Most of the funds raised through this virtual run will be used to purchase PPE equipment for the association’s upcoming organized sports programs, to help protect the safety of the coaches and volunteers.
