Accidents
Jan. 21, 2:06 p.m.: A car driving east on Elm Avenue tried to cross N. Chester Road when it was hit in the driver’s-side door by a car heading north on N. Chester Road. No one was injured, and neither vehicle needed to be towed.
Jan. 24, 3:35 p.m.: Two cars were driving east on Yale Avenue, just west of the intersection with S. Chester Road, when the car in front stopped as the light turned red. The car behind it was unable to stop in time and struck the rear bumper of the stopped car. No one was injured, and neither vehicle needed to be towed.
Jan. 24, 5:50 p.m.: Three cars were driving south on S. Chester Road, approaching the intersection with Yale Avenue. When the light turned red, the first two cars stopped, but the third driver failed to stop in time. The third car struck the rear bumper of the second car, pushing it into the rear bumper of the first car. No one was injured, and none of the cars needed to be towed. In the course of the investigation, police learned that the driver of the third car had a suspended license. The driver was subsequently charged with that offense.

Police responded to ten medical emergencies, assisting medics and the Swarthmore ambulance.

Police responded to four alarm calls, including false burglar alarms, fire alarms, and panic alarms.
