The Swarthmore Centennial Foundation is once again offering its annual Edmund Jones Scholarship of $6,000, to be awarded to a high school senior who lives in Swarthmore and has contributed to the betterment of the borough.
Since 1993, the Swarthmore Centennial Foundation has awarded a $6,000 college scholarship – now named after its late founder – to a Swarthmore high school senior with an exemplary record in both academics and community service. An essay describing the student’s experience in Swarthmore is the heart of the application. Anya Hooper is this year’s recipient.
The Swarthmore Centennial Foundation is extending the deadline for applications for its Edmund Jones Scholarship until April 15. This $6,000 scholarship is awarded every year to a high school senior who resides in Swarthmore. It is awarded based on scholarship, community service, and citizenship.
