Edmund Jones Scholarship for High School Seniors
The Swarthmore Centennial Foundation is offering its annual Edmund Jones Scholarship, which gives $6,000 to an outstanding high school senior who lives in Swarthmore to support their education. The late Edmund Jones, former Swarthmore mayor and a founding member of the Centennial Foundation, created this scholarship in 1993.
The winner is selected based on academics, local community service, and citizenship. Applicants must submit their high school transcript, a letter outlining their community service activities, and a short essay on one of the topics below. The winner’s essay will be published in the Swarthmorean.
My life in Swarthmore.
My ideas for making Swarthmore a better place.
The impact a Swarthmore organization has had on my life.
