Retrievr: A Great Way to Recycle Clothes and Electronics

Retrievr: A Great Way to Recycle Clothes and Electronics

Originally known as Curb My Clutter, Retrievr is a free service that helps people recycle. Here are some great things about it:

  • It’s free.

  • They pick up from your door.

  • Requesting a pick-up is easy: Send them a text or visit their website to tell them how many bags of clothes and what electronics you have.

  • Retrievr helps you remember your pick-up date: They send you text reminders, two days before and the morning of the pick-up.

A complete list of items that they accept is on their website, and includes men’s, women’s, children’s, and infant clothing, as well as footwear, accessories, jewelry, and bedding. Their list of accepted electronics includes cell phones, computers, printers, and MP3 players. They even accept clothes with holes and electronics that no longer work. They just ask that you launder the clothes and clean the items before you send them.

The only items for which there is a small charge are microwaves, TVs, and CRT computer monitors.

Find them online at Retrievr.com, or by texting the word PICKUP to 757-70-FETCH.
