Don’t Die Till You’re Dead
This admonition comes from the Third Act Project, an online community and information resource for older men. Sam Bittman, the project’s co-founder (with Swarthmore resident Bill Davis), will be the guest speaker at the Swarthmore Senior Citizens Association’s Lunch and Learn program on February 24. The Third Act Project’s website offers personal essays, music, and poetry podcasts, plus literature, art, and photography to inspire men to engage in life with strength and imagination. The project also has a presence on Facebook and offers a video series, produced and directed by Bittman, that features lively short discussions among “an eclectic group of artistic misfits.”
During his Lunch and Learn presentation, Bittman will speak about his own experience coming to terms with aging, as well as his work helping others find renewed enthusiasm for life. The Zoom presentation will take place on February 24 at 12:30 p.m. here.
