To the Editor,

So the 2020 Swarthmore Fourth of July Parade could have had more dimensions to it (See “Quiet July Council Meeting” in the July 17 issue of the Swarthmorean). But I want to extend my thanks and appreciation to our first responders who bring the ambulances, the fire trucks, and the police cars when needed in an emergency. I felt the Fourth of July parade through the borough was a morale booster, given all the restrictions of COVID-19. We can support both the Black Lives Matter movement and our first responders.
