Stone Chips

To the Editor:

I think we all enjoyed your review of the recent Rolling Stones show in Philly. I’d like to add a few bits of light Stones trivia:

  1. A noted workout junkie, Mick Jagger has been known to prance over 10 miles onstage per gig (or, in FitBit speak, over 20,000 steps).

  2. Speaking of band-member longevity, pianist Chuck Leavell has been with the Stones for more than 35 years. Before that, he was a member of the Allman Brothers Band and that’s his hot piano you hear their 1973 classic, “Jessica.” Chuck is also a professional tree farmer and has a 2,500-acre farm in Georgia.

  3. Former bassist Bill Wyman left the Stones in 1993, but remains the oldest Rolling Stone at 82 years of age. Apparently, time is on Bill’s side.
