An Unsung Medical Hero in Film at DCIS
On Monday, October 14, the Delaware County Institute of Science will host a free screening of HILLEMAN: A Perilous Quest to Save the World’s Children, a documentary produced by Medical History Pictures. The work done by Dr. Maurice Hilleman to develop vaccines is estimated to save eight million lives every year.
The screening will begin at 7:15 p.m. The film runs for 67 minutes and will be followed by questions and answers with doctors Marilyn Howarth, director of Community Engagement, CEET at the University of Pennsylvania and Lawrence Livornese, chairman of the Department of Medicine at Main Line Health.
The Institute is at 11 Veterans Square in Media.
