In the dark night
I can feel your body
and touch places
we do not name.
Useless eyes close
I dream of the unmentionable
lover who arrives
when we sleep.
My restlessness heightens
as quiet starlight
illuminates an angelic face.
Embracing duplicity
I am whole again.
My lover flees
in the light of day
leaving a void
that drinks my spirit
drains my blood
moves me forward.
