Catherine T. McCallister

Catherine (Kay) T. McCallister, a longtime resident of Swarthmore, passed away peacefully on February 20 in Douglassville, Pennsylvania, where she lived. She was 96.  

Catherine leaves a family cherishing fond memories of her: her children, Stephen, Susan, Harry (Scott), and Lisa; grandchildren, Stephen, Adrienne, Kyle, and Warren; and great-granddaughter, Sophia. She also leaves her longtime next-door neighbor, Beth; her cat, Charlie II; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Harry McCallister, and her son David S. McCallister. 

Services and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor can be made to the Providence Animal Center, 555 Sandy Bank Road, Media, PA 19063.
