Eco-fair thank yous

To the Editor,

A big thank you to those who helped make the Swarthmore-Rutledge School Book Club eco-fair a great success: to Swarthmore Borough Council member Lauren McKinney for guiding students on how to share thoughts with the council, showing them how to connect their dreams and ideas to policy and governance; to Maggy Siegart and Lisa Oster from the Creative Living Room for facilitating reusable tote bag decorating; to Allison McCallum for helping students plant the new Sparrow House garden and craft a collaborative art project for the SRS gardens; to Christine Dolle and Angie Tseng for helping organize the fair with SRS’s sustainability committee; to Shannon Elliot for displaying an assortment of sustainable goods from her store, Harvey Oak Mercantile (H.O.M.); and to Strath Haven High School student Zoe Feinberg for leading a recycling game.

It was so much fun to have everyone together — in person — to learn how to become better stewards of our planet!
