Swarthmore United Methodist Church invites the community to the second of its free Sunday night concerts on the lawn, July 11 at 7 p.m., The concert will feature local musicians Jack Scott and Ingrid Rosenback of the band Last Chance. As an added bonus, homemade blueberry cobbler with ice cream will be sold, and can be enjoyed before and during the concert. Additional homemade baked goods will also be available for sale—the proceeds will go toward helping the church offer more community events. Concertgoers are asked to bring a chair or blanket. This is a rain or shine event: in case of inclement weather, the festivities will move inside.

Jack and Ingrid say they picked the name “Last Chance” for their musical duo because it’s their last chance to play the music they love: intelligent, honest, handcrafted songs designed to capture their audience’s hearts. Last Chance played at the Philadelphia Folk Festival three times and won the 2018 Delmarva Folk Hero contest. Their fourth CD, “Summer Again,” was released in July 2020. All their music is original, and all their shows are fun. The church is located at 127 Park Ave.
