Saul Wildlife Preserve Stewardship Weekend
The Rose Valley EAC invites all Friends of the Wildlife Preserves to come out to help on the weekend of October 23 and 24. This year, we will focus on the Saul Preserve where there are trails to repair, young new native plantings to maintain, invasives to remove, and new native plants to install.
Please come for an hour or a day, whatever you can manage to maintain your Preserve. Wear gardening clothes, and we will provide hand tools, gloves, water and snacks. Please come at the start of the work day so you can be part of the safety briefing and given your assignment. Families and all levels of ability are welcome and will be given appropriate projects with supervision.
We will start our days at the trailhead of the Saul Preserve behind the Old Mill. Saturday, October 23, will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. On Sunday, the 24th, we will work from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please RSVP to me, Jim Audley, at jimaudley@aol.com so we can plan our work assignments.
Hope to see you there!
