Wallingford Swarthmore Community Classes is now accepting registrations for the Fall 2019 semester, which begins October 3.

In addition to the popular health and fitness offerings, such as yoga, meditation, balance, zumba, pilates, kickboxing, and line dancing, this season brings an intriguing array of new subjects awaiting discovery. These include Exploring Ancient Egypt; Chroniclers of America - Homer, Rockwell, and Remington; Gardening from the Ground Up, and So You Want to Write a Book?

WSCC continues to feature the creative arts and crafts. Participants can learn digital photography, creative writing, stained glass, papercrafting, acting, crochet, embroidery, quilting, watercolor, and guitar. Refresher courses in Latin and Italian are offered, as is a study of eight great classical composers. Practical and enlightened living is the focus of several classes. These include goal-setting, social security strategies, perspectives on joint replacement, harnessing seasonal cycles for progress and growth, making the most of your time and money, and creating a home that sparks joy.

The Fall semester runs October 3-November 21. Classes are held weekly on a Monday or Thursday evening at Strath Haven High School, and during the day, most at Swarthmore Borough Hall. Bright yellow brochures are available at libraries, schools, and businesses, but the best way to secure your place in any open class is to register online at wscclasses.org. For more information, please contact wscclasses@gmail.com or 610-566-5786.
