Helen Kate Furness Free Library Programs Focus on Nature
The Helen Kate Furness Free Library will offer several nature-focused programs in the coming week.
From September 14 through 27, you can take part and take action in “Gardening with Nature in Mind: A Pop-up Garden.” Discover the role of native plants in maintaining clean water for people, birds, and other wildlife. This program is a cooperative venture with Audubon Pennsylvania, Valley Forge Audubon Society, Nether Providence Township, and the Helen Kate Furness Free Library. Plants provided by Redbud Native Plant Nursery; exhibit design by Fiber Tree Designs. The Pop-up Garden will be located on the Library’s front lawn at 100 North Providence Rd in Wallingford.
On Tuesday, September 17, at 6 p.m., join local garden experts for the “Wildlife, Water, and Wellness” lecture, and discuss ways you can help build healthy habitats for your family, community, and wildlife. The program takes place in the Library’s lower level Chadwick Auditorium. This lecture is part of the Gardening with Nature in Mind Pop-up Garden.
