Mad Poets Present the Mother of All Poetry Readings
Julia Kolchinsky Dasbach, Lindsay Lusby, and Nancy Reddy land “(M)other(ship): A Mother of a Poetry Reading” at the Community Arts Center on Wednesday, September 4, in the monthly session of the Mad Poets Society.
These three eminent poets create works that are almost animal, slightly alien in their grit and intensity. From the vulnerability of the maternity ward to the horror of the space vessel Nostromo, the word “mother” takes on many meanings, all of them simultaneously strange and familiar. This poetry reading and book-signing will also include a writing exercise for the audience.
