Swarthmore’s Tree Committee Needs You
The Swarthmore Tree Committee for several generations has been the custodians of the borough tree canopy, particularly as it relates to our street trees and borough-owned trees, but also in offering help and advice on trees throughout our town. One of the long time members of the committee will soon be leaving our area, and a search is on for an interested replacement member from our community.
If you have an abiding interest in helping to sustain the health and viability of our trees, and in public service, the Tree Committee would like to hear from you. Considering the group’s needs and the contributions of the departing member, the group would particularly appreciate someone with experience in promotion or marketing outreach. The committee meets regularly four times a year.
If you would like to learn more about joining, please respond to David Page, committee chair, who can be reached at dvdpge1@gmail.com.
