Bringing It All Back Home
When Stereo League plays this Saturday night at Swarthmore’s waR3house3, it will be a homecoming gig for songwriter and front man Alex Savoth, who grew up on Riverview Road in the borough, and for fellow Strath Haven alumni, guitarist Dan King and drummer Gusten Rudolph. The Philadelphia-based five-piece band has played New York and Nashville; Washington and North Carolina, following the release of its 2018 debut album A Light on Each Side, which drew the attention of indie tastemakers and got the band named WXPN Artists to Watch last September.
The show may also be a taking off point for Stereo League, whose new EP Natural Mystery and single “Just Enough” will be launched on streaming platforms on October 25. The collection marks Stereo League’s continuing evolution from a loose collective into a tight, mature band that builds on long experience of playing together. This latest iteration of the League will be on stage at the waR3house3 on Saturday, October 19, following opener Dirty Dollhouse. Doors open at 7 p.m. And the music starts at 7:30. Info is at waR3house3.com.
